What are Your Colors? Part 3
Well, I am back today and continuing our series on colors. I was curious as to how color is defined so I decided to look it up in Wikipedia. Here is what I came up with. “Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light energy versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and physical specifications of color are also associated with objects, materials, light sources, etc., based on their physical properties such as light absorption, reflection, or emission spectra.”
Today we are going to talk about the third color type. If you are a Spring then your complexion has undertones that are gold and your skin is a creamy color or a peach tone. Generally, if this is your category then you have blue or green eyes and red or strawberry blonde hair. You might also have freckles and cheeks that are rosy.
Spring colors are very warm hues. The colors are bright and range from light to medium intensity. Some colors that are representative of this are peach, golden yellow and camel. Dark colors would not be a good choice to wear for someone that is considered to be a spring. Some gemstones that would go well with these colors would be Rose quartz, Alexandrite, Peridot, and Tiger Eye. Some popular people you might know that would be considered a spring are Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Meg Ryan, and Jodi Foster.
If you are a spring then gold jewelry would most compliment you skin tone. Gold is a warm color and goes well with all those medium hues that fall into the spring category. A gold setting for a one of those gemstones that fall into spring category would look perfect with your complexion.
When I think about the spring season, I think about everything being bathed in golden sunlight. This type of light reflects in your eyes and makes them brighter. I think about new growth and the bright greens as well as the bright colors of flowers. Tomorrow we will address the last color category and talk about the colors included.
